Over two days on 1 & 2 October 2022, 1-Arden joins forces with Heineken Silver to launch its iconic and immersive Grand Prix Season Singapore programme, “The Circuit”.

As the sky lights up and the world’s greatest racing heroes speed through the track, dash to the 1-Arden Rooftop on level 51 of CapitaSpring and partake in race-themed activities stationed at the bespoke lifestyle enclaves while taking in the unparalleled vantage views.

Spanning an expansive 30,000 square feet with its circuit-like rooftop garden design, ‘race’ to the various pitstops decked out with entrancing neon and LED light art installations and experience a myriad of stimulating activities.

Aboriginal Smoking Ceremony

Kaarla Restaurant and Bar ceremoniously launches on 28 July 2022 with a cultural evening. To cleanse and usher in new beginnings for Kaarla, the evening commences with an Australian indigenous cultural performance together with a sacred Traditional Smoking Ceremony.

This custom will be orchestrated by Sharon Winsor, an indigenous chef, cultural advisor, educator, and entrepreneur from Indigiearth, Australia, alongside her daughter Kirralaa and son Maliyan who will play the didgeridoo.

Kaarla will also welcome the Honourable Will Hodgman, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore who will grace the ceremonial launch as Guest of Honour.

The evening culminates at Kaarla Restaurant with a one-night only 4-Hands Dinner featuring Sharon Winsor and Kaarla’s Australian Resident Chef, John-Paul Fiechtner. At the heart of Kaarla’s coastal Australian cuisine is the use of fire by burning sustainably sourced native Iron Bark wood from Blue Mountains in New South Wales to cook in a custom-built wood-fired grill and oven.

As the sun sets, enjoy specially-crafted cocktails created between The Orientalist Spirits and 1-Arden Bar, followed by the four hands dinner at Oumi.

Reiko Yoshikawa, resident chef/host at The Orientalist House – the brand house for the multi-award-winning Orientalist Spirits, will grace Oumi for a one-night only collaborative dinner with Head of Japanese Culinary Development, Chef Lamley Chua.

The evening will commence with two welcome cocktails created by Orientalist Spirits’ mixologist and the 1-Arden bar team, these garden-to-glass cocktails are inspired by the flavours of Japan and fresh pickings from the verdant 1-Arden Food Forest layered over premium Orientalist Spirits renowned for its perfect blend of ingredients sourced directly and ethically from the Silk Road. 

Dinner ensues with a 6-course omakase menu – a true expression of the season’s best. Guest Chef Reiko’s experience as a veteran culinary consultant and food guide has bestowed upon her invaluable access to the freshest seasonal ingredients from her personal contacts at Tokyo’s Tsujiki and Toyosu Markets. These ingredients will be brought in directly to feature in the multi-courses; just as she would when curating the menu for the highly successful kitchen she runs at The Orientalist House.

The Healing Farm

Singapore’s latest sky-high dining destination 1-Arden features two stunning new dining concepts Kaarla (Coastal Australian) and Oumi (Modern Japanese Kappo) together with the World’s Highest Food Forest, which boasts a 10,000 square foot rooftop urban farm at 280 meters. This is where farmer and chef work side by side to plant, harvest and cook over 130 different bespoke edible plant varieties from the sprawling food forest. One of the features of the Food Forest is the ‘Tropical Wellness Garden’ which focuses on edible species from our region which have proven medicinal and healing properties. This also highlights the importance of biodiversity, sustainability and preserving Singapore’s food story for future generations.

A special feature of the Singapore Wellness Festival will be a special ‘six-hands’ collaboration between Chef John Fiechtner (Kaarla), Chef Lamley Chua (Oumi) and Christopher Leow (Head Farmer, 1-Arden Food Forest). An exploration of ‘Nature’s Kitchen’ where the culinary arts and nature’s nutritional bounty for a one night only dinner. The chefs and farmers research each of these special ingredients to better understand their traditional healing properties to form contemporary culinary creations.

Garden Tour and Workshop

A special feature of the Singapore Wellness Festival will be a ‘meet the farmer’ guided tour, with an in-depth walk and talk through the World's Highest Food Forest with its 5 curated gardens, in particular the Tropical Wellness Garden. Explore the world of healing herbs and vegetables with scientifically proven medicinal qualities, plus some 'lost and found' varieties which highlight the importance of the conservation of our local food heritage. Following the tour will be a short workshop by Chef John Fiechtner who will showcase some innovative ways to prepare these ingredients.
